About this project
This project involved the demolition of an existing conservatory and full ground clearance to prepare for a new rear extension. Due to challenging ground conditions, 2m deep trench fill foundations were required, with restricted access meaning all excavation spoil was removed by barrow.
A block and beam floor was installed, supporting a carefully designed structure that incorporated extensive glazing and limited brickwork. This required multiple steel beams and columns, all neatly concealed within the finished build.
Significant internal alterations were carried out alongside a garage conversion (excluding one room), creating a spacious and highly functional layout. The new space includes a large kitchen/diner, playroom, utility room, WC, and study.
Finishing works included carpentry, bespoke joinery, kitchen installation, and tiling laid over underfloor heating, delivering a high-quality, comfortable living space.
